KARORI FOODBANK

The Karori Foodbank has been serving the needs of our community for 10 years. Food is regularly contributed by parishioners of St. Anselm's; Karori-Northland Uniting Parish and St.Teresa's. The NewstalkZB Food Appeal, which is assisted by the Karori Lions, gives the Foodbank a welcome boost twice a year.
The St. John's Op Shop Trust gives a regular monthly financial donation, and there are sundry donations from local organisations and people. This money is used to buy fresh food to supplement the non-perishable foodstuffs when the individual parcels are made up.

The Foodbank is a member of the Coalition of Wellington Foodbanks, and referrals come from the Salvation Army; City Mission; Downtown Ministry; Citizen's Advice Bureau and local churches and groups.

Thankyou for your support - every gift of food or donation of money helps families in need. If you know of a family who would benefit from food parcels to help them through difficult periods, please tell them about the service.
